Here we have a fully restored Vienna Regulator clock circa 1880.

The movement was manufactured by the Hamburg American Clock Company and it is in lovely condition for its age. The movement has had a full strip down, the mainsprings removed, cleaned, inspected and greased. All parts have been cleaned and inspected for wear. Two worn bearings have been re-bushed. The movement has then been re-assembled, oiled and regulated. It is now ready for another 10 years for it is due for its next service.

The Walnut and Mahogany case was a sorry state when it came to us. There were signs of old woodworm, thus the case has been fully treated. The case has been cleaned and re-polished with French Polish, a new glass fitted to the door, and now looks stunning.

The clock strikes the hour and half hour via a lovely gong.

This is a stunning clock, not too big, ideal for today’s modern homes.
